This order reflects their importance to humans. First things first, we are naturally motivated to look out for danger. We go to the gym to lose weight by the summer, otherwise there will be a shame on the beach. We are sharply looking for a job, because we’re running out of money and there will be nothing to eat. We put up with someone, because it’s unbearable to endure. Also, we eat to feel something tasty, we have sex to enjoy, we strive to earn more in order to acquire something. And, of course, we climb or crawl in an unknown direction, because we wanna know what is there. We are suddenly interested in nuclear physics purely to put off a fire in our brains. Or we try on ourselves some kind of rubbish, because others like it, so we need to find out what it is too.
- Fear: if I DO NOT do this, I will get sick and grow old.
- Pleasure: if I do this, I will be healthy and young, pretty for myself and others, feel pleasant in my body and enjoy the feeling of deep satisfaction.
- Curiosity: what else can I do, what will I become?
- Fear: if I DO NOT do this, then I will continue to suffer, wasting my life time. And I'll get sick. Most likely, the digestive tract will not like it.
- Pleasure: doing what I love, I will fill my life time with pleasure, benefit and growth, and I will spend more money on even greater joys.
- Curiosity: what can I bring new and of my own into this business?
- Fear: If I DO NOT end this unpleasant relationship or enter into a pleasant one, then I will spend the time of my life in suffering.
- Pleasure: of course, it's scary to take this step, but this worry is only for a few days, and then it will be very pleasant for a long time, maybe forever.
- Curiosity: what kind of person suits me completely? Who am I completely suitable for? What can a truly intimate relationship be like, what is true love?
- Fear: if I DO NOT express myself in creativity, including, for example, new work optimization systems (not just drawing with singing), then I will waste the time of my life without creating anything. Moreover, diseases of the reproductive system, throat and chest, as well as the lumbar and cervical spine are becoming more and more likely.
- Pleasure: creating is as pleasant as dancing, flying or making love! When I create, I am in the Flow, I am rushing, life is beautiful, this is a thrill! It is not even necessary to create for someone, the process itself is sufficient for myself. For example, play guitar badly and hum, don’t write anything new, don’t develop the topic, but simply enjoy yourself for a half an hour perfectly.
- Curiosity: what can I create? How does this divine spark feel?
Procrastination of anything, of course, is treated in the same way, but there are a couple more tricks.
Firstly, you just need to start. At least write a title, create a file, buy brushes, dust the guitar. Take one step.
Secondly, the task must be broken down into many small and not so scary subtasks and then you calmly perform them one at a time, that's all.
